2009 Tourism Awards

Tourism is a vibrant industry in Sussex County, generating significant revenues to our economy throughout the
year. In December 2009, the Southern Delaware Tourism Board will present the Southern Delaware Tourism
Recognition Award which celebrates the strong commitment by an individual or organization that has made an
outstanding and significant contribution to enrich tourism in Sussex County, Delaware throughout 2008-2009.

Criteria/Entry Rules:

The nominee(s) must work in Sussex County, Delaware. This award applies to contributions to the tourism industry in Sussex County, Delaware prior to September 2009. The nomination must be completed and submitted to Southern Delaware Tourism by Monday, November 16, 2009. The award nominations will be judged on the following criteria:
*    Visitation Draw
*    Contribution to unique event(s) or making an attraction unique
*    Promotion
*    Helping to place Sussex County, DE on the map regarding awareness

Please submit a 1-2 page letter describing why your nominee deserves this award. It is also encouraged to include any necessary supporting documentation (letters of support, visitation data, etc).
