Beach Regulations for Dogs

Bethany Beach

Permitted on boardwalk and beach October 1 through May 15.

Cape Henlopen State Park

Leased pets are permitted on State Park beaches from October 1 through April 30. They are permitted ONLY within surf fishing areas from May 1 through September 30.

Dewey Beach

Permitted September 16 through May 14. Between May 15 and September 15, pets are permitted before 9:30am and after 5:30pm. They must be licensed. Licenses can be purchased at the Dewey Beach Town Hall.
