New Rehoboth Beach Museum

I believe that nostalgia is a big reason why visitors return and keep returning to the Rehoboth Beach area.  The recently-opened Rehoboth Beach Museum (located right next door to the Rehoboth Beah Visitor Center at the entrance to town) showcases Rehoboth Beach nostalgia via photographs, items from the past and changing exhibits.  One item that ceratinly grabbed my attention was the locomotive (along with a photograph) from the kids' train that operated in the 1960s and early 1970s at Funland Amusements on the boardwalk  - a train that I am sure was captured many times on 8 millimeter film from home movie cameras of the day.  The current exhibit features popular bathing suits sported on Rehboth Beach from decade-to-decade.  Who knew that bathing suits from bygone eras appearing so "grayscale" on black and white photographs were actually so colorful?
