Take advantage of off-season hotel rates, mild April Weather and the following cool happenings…
Put on your cycling helmet and join the 19th Annual Ocean to Bay Bike Tour in the Quiet Resorts of Bethany Beach & Fenwick Island on April 19th
Go to the beach and witness shipwreck rescue techniques that were used by surfmen of the U.S. Lifesaving Service. A Breeches Buoy demonstration will take place on April 19th at the Indian River Lifesaving Station within the Delaware Seashore State Park.
Dust off your binoculars, get outside and enjoy scenic Southern Delaware during the Delmarva Birding Weekend from April 23rd to April 27th. Several new trails and side trips have been added for 2008!
Go back to the 1940s during World War II Weekend April 26-27 at Fort Miles in Cape Henlopen State Park just outside of Lewes. Fort Miles was a WWII coastal defense fort and includes tours of gun batteries and a great ocean view from the top of one of its observation towers.
