I believe that nostalgia is a big reason why visitors return and keep returning to the Rehoboth Beach area. The recently-opened Rehoboth Beach Museum (located right next door to the Rehoboth Beah Visitor Center at the entrance to town) showcases Rehoboth Beach nostalgia via photographs, items from the past and changing exhibits. The Delaware Aviation Museum is definitely a hidden gem. Located at the Georgetown, DE Airport in the building next to the Flight Deck Restaurant, this place includes an expansive collection of WWII and Cold War era aviation photos and paraphenalia. My favorite spot in the museum is a WWII barracks exhibit that includes a mint condition fold-up paratrooper bicycle and field phonograph among many other random articles that were popular at the time.
