The invention of the steam engine revolutionized travel across the globe and reshaped the economic landscape. Once distant markets now became easy to access for rural farmers and merchants, opening new opportunities for economic growth. Come join Matt Heim of the Nanticoke Watershed Alliance as he explores the impact of steam travel on the Nanticoke River Watershed and the surrounding Delmarva Peninsula. Join us before the lecture at 6:30 p.m. for light refreshments.
Lecture is free, open to the public, and fun for the entire family.
Seating is limited on a first-come, first served basis.
