Bring the kids or those just young at heart to Delaware Seashore State Park as we make our own kites to fly! Naturalists will help participants construct a sled kite and decorate it before we hit the beaches to launch and show off our kite flying skills! Kites have been around for thousands of years and come in all different shapes and sizes. What design will you put on your sled kite? The sky is the limit!!
Build (& Fly) a Kite is suitable for ages 6 and up (with adult supervision). We will provide all of the construction materials, instruction, and the perfect seashore setting to fly a kite! But construction spaces and materials are limited so call today to sign up. The cost for the program is$5 per person.
The program will meet at the Indian River Life-Saving Station Museum and will begin indoors and end on the beach. The program will be held rain or shine. Make sure to dress for the weather.
To pre-register, call 302-227-6991.
