The final segment of the Lighthouse Lecture Series. Harry S. Spencer, a Delaware River and Bay Lighthouse Foundation board member, presents the program "Growing Up as a Lighthouse Kid." Spencer was born in 1920 at Liston Range Rear Lighthouse located on Route 2 west of Port Penn, DE. He lived there until 1927 when his father was transferred to Liston Range Front Lighthouse, located approximately two miles south of Port Penn in Bay View Beach. After a long career, Spencer retired from Delmarva Power and Light Co. in 1979 and moved to Lewes in 1981 where he remains a committed lighthouse enthusiast.
