In 2010 Lewes hosted the first Mid-Atlantic Sea Glass Festival, attracting over 3,000 visitors to the event. This year, more than forty sea glass artists will be joined by other coastal artists, including decoy carvers and other waterfowl artists. This event will also feature a great line-up of speakers, sea glass shard identification and other activities. Like collecting shells, fossils, or stones, combing shorelines for sea glass is a hobby many beach-goers and beachcombers enjoy.

The castle of a bumbling ogre has mysteriously arrived in the clouds high over Pleasant Village. Jack trades the family cow for magic beans that grow a stalk tall enough to reach the ogre’s clouds. The clever lad climbs the beanstalk and finds a way to stop the ogre and save the village. Two performers play all of the characters in the fun-filled, fifty-five minute show designed for all family members age 3 and up. Community Event. Free for all. Please bring your own chairs.

Spend a few hours on the water enjoying a boat tour of two iconic Delaware lighthouses. At the first stop, climb to the top of the Delaware Breakwater East End Lighthouse and then take a trip to the Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse for photos.
