Four one-act plays will be competing for best play. Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of originality, creativity and entertainment value. In addition, the audiences will have the opportunity to act as the judges by completing a ballot to select the best one-act production. The winning selection will then be entered into the annual Delaware Theatre Association competition scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 26-27 at the Everett Theatre in Middletown.
"Last Train to George" is an original work by Delaware playwright Matt Casarino, a play about two women meeting on a bus and discovering they have something in common. "Monkey Rhythms" by John Baldi is about a son trying to persuade his father into selling his home and moving in with him. "Save Me A Place At Forest Lawn," by Lorees Yerby, is about two older ladies discussing the challenges of their current lives, and "Printer's Devil" is a monologue based on the letters of Benjamin Franklin.
