Alan Ayckbourn, one of stage's most prolific and comedic chroniclers of lives unraveling, brings together three couples... each linked by the men's business associations - and adulterous affairs. One of the younger men is having a fling with the wife of the oldest, and when each of those two husbands returns home suspiciously late one night or early one morning, they invent a story about having to spend some time smoothing domestic matters in the home of the third couple. The hilarious action takes place in living and dining rooms, with characters visible to the audience - but not always to each other! When the third couple shows up, the comic complications only add to the frantic fun of Ayckbourn's famous farce. "A complete delight!" declared the Boston Globe Herald.
