Begins: 1:00 PM
Join local author Michael Morgan as he discusses conditions in the coastal communities after the United States entered the Second World War. During World War II, enemy submarines sank American ships within sight of the Delaware coast; residents of the coastal communities watched as mounted Coast Guardsmen patrolled the beach. While residents of the coastal areas fought around the world, those at home did whatever they could to assist the war effort.
