The Heidi Lowe Gallery will be opening the jewelry show "Five Women of Metal" featuring works by Kristine Bolhus, Kate Cathey, Jennaca Davies, Janet Huddie, and Chris Irick from 2-5pm.
Davies, of North Kingstown, RI, and Cathey, of Wilmington, NC, use enamel to bring color and form to their works. Huddie, of Cronsville, MD and Bolhus, of Ferndale, MI, use multiple silver parts to create structures. And Irick, of Utica, NY, is using slate, acrylic and flocking to create pattern, which is framed by gold and silver.
Lowe, whose work includes sterling silver with semi-precious stones and shells, will be on display, as well as work by studio artists from around the globe through May 7, 2010.
