"Sailor's Valentines" at Delaware Seashore State Park

In the 1800’s sailors spent months away from home. To fill their down time and remind them of those they left behind, the sailors would create “valentines” by making a mosaic of tropical seashells mounted in a wooden frame or box. Recreate this old tradition using shells and items found on the beaches locally and make a true keepsake valentine for your sweetheart. Programs will last 1 ½ to 2 hours.

Pre-register. Ages 10 and up (children must be accompanied by an adult). $15 per person.
