July 4th Festivities & Fireworks

There are plenty of places in Southern Delaware to enjoy beautiful fireworks throughout the Independence Day Holiday. Whether you're craving a small-town feel or an impressive display, there is something everyone will enjoy. Check out the fireworks and festivities in the following areas:

Dewey Beach

Enjoy a professional fireworks display over the Rehoboth Bay starting at approximately 9:00am on Saturday July 4th.

Laurel

Enjoy small town charm in Laurel on Thursday Juily 4th. Start the day off with a carnival at 10:30 a.m. followed by a cornhole tournament, pie-eating contest, vendors and fireworks in the evening. For more information, visist www.townoflaurel.net

Bethany Beach

Bethany Beach's Independence Day celebration will begin at noon on July 4th with a parade, themed "Let Freedom Ring." The parade, featuring marching bands and entertainment groups, begins at noon at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Garfield Parkway and takes its traditional 2-mile route through the town. A horseshoe-throwing contest will be held at 2 p.m. at the southwest corner of the Christian Church grounds. Fireworks will complete the day at dusk. Evening entertainment will be provided by The Vigilantes, a female-fronted dance band that plays popular music spanning the 70’s through today. There is no rain date. Cape May-Lewes Ferry Fireworks Cruise

Spectacular fireworks will illuminate the skies above the Delaware Bay. Cruise departs Lewes at 7:15 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 800.643.3779 or visit www.capemaylewesferry.com
