    REPEATS WEEKLY. Explore the wonders of Delaware Seashore State Park and learn about the critters that call the park “home”. Campers will participate in a variety of hands-on activities such as seining, crabbing, beachcombing, and art projects. This is the only program when parents are permitted to drop children off and return at the conclusion. Pre-registration required. Please call (302) 227-6991 to register for the program. Ages 7-11. $25 per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult unless otherwise noted. Limit one adult per child.

The original Kalmar Nyckel was one of America’s pioneering colonial ships, a Mayflower of the Delaware Valley, yet her remarkable story has never been widely told. The original Kalmar Nyckel served as Governor Peter Minuit’s flagship for the 1638 expedition that founded the colony of New Sweden, establishing the first permanent European settlement in the Delaware Valley, Fort Christina, in present-day Wilmington, Delaware.

    REPEATS WEEKLY on TUES, WED, THURS. Paddle a sit-on-top kayak through the marshes of Rehoboth Bay and catch a unique glimpse of the historic Indian River Life-Saving Station. Along the way, park naturalists will identify the wildlife that makes up this dynamic ecosystem. Participants will receive basic kayaking instruction and all equipment. Pre-registration required.
