Visitors are encouraged to explore Georgetown's museums on First Saturdays May 2, June 6, July 11th (note this one exception), August 1, September 5. FREE. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Participating museums include the Masonic Lodge, The Historic Georgetown Train Station, the Old Sussex County Courthouse, the Delaware Aviation Museum, The Marvel Museum, and the Treasures of the Sea Exhibit. Free live music event coming to Georgetown! In 1998, Cristina Pato became the first female Gaita player to release a solo album. Since then she has collaborated with world music, jazz, classical and experimental artists, including Chicago Symphony, Yo-Yo Ma, The Chieftains, and Arturo O’Farril. Cristina Pato fuses the influences of Latin music, jazz, pop and contemporary music, and uses her artistry and unprecedented virtuosic skill to bring her musical vision to life.

The 2014 Historic Georgetown Art Crawl will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 10:00 am -4:00 pm in downtown Georgetown. This is a rain or shine juried art event, and will feature artists & artisans, and area art leagues & art guilds from throughout our region. Georgetown’s inaugural Art Crawl was a great success last year, with over 40 participating artists. There is ample space to accommodate at least 70 artist vendors, and this year’s event hopes to draw even more participants and crowds.
