The Joshua M. Freeman Foundation and The Freeman Stage at Bayside present the Washington National Opera featuring their Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists Program at Delaware Technical Community College on Friday December 4th. The 7pm Friday evening performance will be held in the theatre of the Arts & Science Center located on the Owens Campus in Georgetown, DE. Tickets are $11 each, and should be purchased ahead of time at www.freemanstage.org.
Each year, the community singing event doubles as a food drive for hungry families in Sussex County, drawing hundreds of residents – along with the support of area schools, businesses and civic organizations – who turn out to sing Christmas carols and collect canned goods for area pantries, churches and food banks. In 2014, the food drive collected more than 31,200 items for nearly a dozen organizations.
