Woodland Ferry Festival

The festival takes place along the Woodland Church Road in the small community of  Woodland, DE, home of the historic Woodland Ferry.  The ferry is on the National Register of Historic Places .The current ferry, named the Tina Fallon, was christened and put into service on October 29, 2008.  The Woodland Ferry Association (a group of local citizens dedicated to preserving the charm and history of the area) is happy to once again bring back this festival after a three year absence.  The traditional Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:00 AM.  Another favorite tradition, the “Battle of the Ban

Autumn Invitational Juried Art Show

The Autumn Invitational Juried Art Show opening reception hosted by the Nanticoke River Arts Council will be held on Friday, Oct. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gallery 107 on High Street in downtown Seaford. Artists interested in submitting work may obtain an entry from by calling Tammy Kearney at 302-629-2829. All chosen work will be exhibited at the Gallery 107 through October.
