Vintage Cafe is a lovely, classic small town eatery at 113 Union Street in historic downtown Milton, Delaware. The always smiling owner, Ami, has turned this little cafe into a bright, fun place to stop and get a delicious meal. She serves breakfast, lunch, yummy baked goods, coffee drinks, smoothies, salads and sandwiches to die for. A few of my personal favorites:
Chicken Salad - secret recipe with fresh tomato, lettuce and swiss on croissant
Capri Press - mozzarella, tomato and fresh basil with balsamic and olive oil pressed on ciabatta
Authentic Cuban Press - roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickle and mustard pressed on cuban bread
The Farmer - country ham, cheddar, green apple and sweet hot mustard on ciabatta
Do I need to say more? Her menu is creative and bursting with fresh, local ingredients. There is something for everyone here, even the kids and kids at heart. The tables have glass jars filled with game pieces like scrabble tiles or dominoes to play while you're enjoying your meal, cooked fresh to order.
They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm. They have wifi, so bring your laptop and stay for awhile sipping on espresso or homemade hot chocolate. They are also just moments from Dogfish Head Brewery so stop by before or after your tour!
