Big Chill Beach Club, scheduled to open by the end of this month, is in Delaware Seashore State Park, on the ocean side just south of the Indian River Inlet bridge and atop the existing concession stand, and it is AMAZING.
This summer's visitors to the Delaware Seashore State Park can expect more from their surf and sun experience due to the new public-private partnership between Delaware’s State Park officials and the region’s well-known hospitality business leaders.
The Parks agency has partnered with Rehoboth Beach-based La Vida Hospitality Group to bring an oceanfront family-oriented Big Chill Beach Club to the popular seashore destination. Located at the foot of the suspension bridge near Bethany Beach, DE, La Vida’s million dollar project includes a newly constructed upper deck restaurant which is constructed atop the existing concession stand. The venue offers 360-degree water views and a unique perspective on the neighboring suspension bridge.
Beginning this summer, park visitors can savor their day at the beach with a menu full of delicious beach fare options at Big Chill BeachClub. The food focus is designed to enhance the beach experience with fresh seafood options— including a new oyster bar, plus boardwalk classics and SoCal-inspired tacos and burritos from La Vida’s Taco Reho food truck menu. Fans of their acclaimed fish tacos will be pleased to see these local favorites included on the menu!
Visitors can also enjoy the new upper deck dining and bar regardless of weather thanks to a fully functioning high tech umbrella that spans 36’. Imported from Austria, it has enclosed glass walls for 360 degree views, and is built to sustain high winds up to 100 MPH.
The new Big Chill Beach Club includes an adjacent Event Tent special event pavilion, a newly-constructed tented structure providing spectacular waterfront and bridge views. Ideal for beach wedding receptions and sit down dinners for up to 160 guests, or parties and meetings accommodating up to 200 people. Catering for the Big Chill Event Tent is provided by Fork+Flask at Nage, the award-winning restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, which is also part of the La Vida Hospitality Group.
