Winter WonderFest Returns Bigger, Brighter, and Cooler in 2017!

The Winter WonderFest Light Spectacular at Cape Henlopen State Park is back bigger and brighter in 2017 with thirty percent MORE LIGHTS & a NEW and improved route! Kids from 1 to 92 will enjoy this 1.5 mile rides through over 90 dazzling light displays.

The Christmas Village, located at the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal offers two NEW thrilling carnival rides, five NEW midway games, professional entertainment nightly, and The Lodge – a NEW heated & enclosed hospitality tent, plus the Visit Delaware Ice Rink, a larger open-air rink with real ice, offering skating parties, skating lessons, private rentals and public sessions.

When? The 2017 Winter WonderFest grand opening weekend is November 17th, 18th, and 19th. Dashin’ Through The Show opens November 17th and 18th with a 5 p.m. Fun Run & Walk through the holiday light show in the park.  On November 19th at 5 p.m. there will be a competitive 5K race with walkers welcome as well.  Then that evening at 6:30 p.m. dog lovers are welcome to bring their pets to experience the show.  Registration for Dashin’ Through The Show is now open and available online at  

Winter WonderFEST will open to vehicle traffic on Thanksgiving weekend, November 24th – 26th.  The Light Spectacular, the Christmas Village, Santa’s Workshop and the newly constructed ice rink will be open through New Year’s Eve with a special community party. This year both the Light Spectacular and the Christmas Village will be open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The Visit Delaware Ice Rink will be open Tuesday through Sunday.   Rink hours and ticket info are now available online at
