The husband-and-wife team of violinist Desirée Ruhstrat and cellist David Cunliffe also are members of the Grammy-nominated Lincoln Trio.     Eddie Bruce is a natural performer - he always has been! A passionate fan of jazz standards, especially the music of Tony Bennett, it's no surprise that he has become one of the nation's foremost interpreters of Bennett's music. His shows include songs written by such legendary composers and lyricists as Sammy Cahn and Johnny Mercer and in addition to the music sung by Bennett, he sings the music made popular by Anthony Newley, Sammy Davis, Jr, Frank Sinatra and many others. What makes Eddie's performances stand out is his engaging style.

    Enjoy a sneak peak into the private collection of RAL's Artistic Director at his home in Washington, DC. Compiled over the course of many years, this array of contemporary art includes pieces from Alexander Calder, Chris Martin, Kendall Messick, Rebecca Raubacher, Duane Rieder, Roger Ballen, Todd James, and many more! An evening of light appetizers and drinks will be coupled with a walkthrough of the collection. Guests will also have the opportunity to mingle with a few of the artists whose work is represented. The cost is $35.00/person (tax deductible). Limited to 25 people.

    Transcendental Jam Session. Donations will be taken at the door. Complimentary vegetarian feast. Kirtan is a form of devotional chanting whose roots go back over 5000 years to India. It is a form of Bhakti Yoga (yoga of devotion) and has the power to open the heart. The singing is accompanied by musical instruments and rhythmic drumming and the audience is encouraged to participate by chanting, clapping, and dancing. You will not be able to resist the urge to join in! In its heartfelt expression kirtan can induce profound states of meditation, bliss, and ecstasy. Venue: Milton Theatre.
