    Dorothy Gale, a young girl living on a Kansas farm with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry, dreams of escaping her mundane life (“Over The Rainbow“). The family’s mean neighbor, Miss Gulch, threatens to impound Dorothy’s cherished dog, Toto, so Dorothy and Toto run away. Suddenly a cyclone hits, and Dorothy and Toto are transported to the Land of Oz.  This performance by the Spotlight on Young Performers uses the script and music from the 1939 MGM film. Venue: Clear Space Theatre Company.

The romantic and comic exploits of Dolly Gallagher-Levi, turn-of-the-century matchmaker and “woman who arranges things,” are certain to thrill and entertain audiences again and again. Some of the show’s most memorable songs include: Put On Your Sunday Clothes; Ribbons Down My Back; Before the Parade Passes By; Hello, Dolly!; Elegance; and It Only Takes a Moment.

    The Rehoboth Beach Film Society is pleased to continue its'National Theatre Live series with the screening of Julius Caesar. Screenings will be 12:30 pm on Saturday, April 14th, 12:30 pm on Monday, April 16th and 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 17th at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive in Dartmouth Plaza (behind the Lewes Wawa).     Hailed by The New Yorker for its “exhilarating blend of precision and anarchy, rigor and bedlam,” Sō Percussion performs original works as well as “classics” of the 20th Century by John Cage and Steve Reich. The ensemble has performed at Carnegie Hall and its recordings have hit the Billboard charts. Sō Percussion is the Edward T. Cone Ensemble-in-Residence at Princeton University, and its members are co-directors of the percussion department at the Bard College-Conservatory of Music. The Sō Percussion musicians will host a pre-concert discussion with audience members beginning at 6:30 pm.

    6-wire is inspired by the historical connection between the erhu, the Chinese 2-stringed violin, and the 4-stringed violin – both essential leading instruments in the East and West. A Chamber Music America grantee with unique instrumentation, the Delaware-based 6-wire piano trio is a site-specific, pioneering American ensemble that mixes traditional romanticism and virtuosity with new chamber music. The three virtuosi celebrate diversity in performance, weave stories and context into their concerts, and transform how live instrumental music is experienced. Venue: Milton Theatre.
