    This event could even be described as a paddling 5K, or a scavenger hunt via kayak!

    “We’ve been offering kayak eco-tours for over 10 years, but we figured with the 50th anniversary being this year, it was time to try something new and different”, says Laura Scharle, Interpretive Programs Manager for Delaware Seashore State Park. “Most people come to our park to enjoy our beautiful beaches, but few people stop to enjoy the expansive salt marsh habitat and wildlife-viewing opportunities on the bayside of the park. This event is the perfect opportunity to check it out.”

Bring your vintage park photos, family scrapbook or just your best stories and memories. Your photos and memories could be included in the Delaware Seashore State Park "Family Scrapbook" or be used in future park history exhibits. FREE.

    Storyteller Gary Lloyd announces each of four funny dragon tales with a bang on a three foot gong. Gary tells how his ancestor raced a dragon around the world and of a dragon who fell asleep near a fountain of chocolate with delicious results! Two tales of three little dragons and a very good knight complete the program. Find out why Gary Lloyd has enthralled over a million listeners. This performance is free for all to attend.     Join our historical interpreters for an insightful analysis of some of Howard Schroeder's popular wartime artwork. Schroeder captured many sights and scenes of military life at Fort Miles in WWII including scenes of his own duties as a Coast Artillery Mine planter. For ages 13 and up with an adult. Limit of 12.
