    Construction on Battery 519 began in 1941 under the threat of war. Tour the battery to learn what the threats were and how Fort Miles planned to defend the United States from them. For ages 7 and up with a paying adult. Pre-registration is required by calling 302-644-5007. $5 pp.

    Bonfires will be held every Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, June 14th through August 31st. NO BONFIRE JULY 4TH.

    Concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. in Stango Park and are free and open to the public. They are held on an open air stage Tuesday nights during the summer. In the case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved to Cape Henlopen High School theatre.

    The Lewes Summer Concert Series is funded through the City of Lewes, a grant from WSFS Bank, and by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events HERE.
