    On Friday, May 4, 2018, Nanticoke Health Services, the Western Sussex Chamber of Commerce and the City of Seaford will host the 5th annual Live for Chocolate – an evening of fun, laughter and support raising awareness for women’s health in Sussex County.

    Women often care for so many others, putting themselves on the bottom of the “to do” list. Live for Chocolate is an event that allows us to come together in fellowship, laughter and love to support and encourage one another to take care of ourselves while having a whole lot of fun!

    The next First Friday Fellowship film will be held on Friday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. at UUSD. The film will be Defying the Nazis: The Sharps’ War, which is an account of a daring rescue mission that occurred on the precipice of World War II. It tells the story of Waitstill and Martha Sharp, a Unitarian minister and his wife from Wellesley, Massachusetts, who left their children behind in the care of their parish and boldly committed to multiple life-threatening missions in Europe.

Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family’s Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires.

Explore the history and meanings behind the International Signal Code then paint your own Nautical Flag message on a piece of discarded park picnic table or boardwalk to display in your home.     SWING JUNCTION…It's a Swing Thing, will recreate the music of the best swing bands including the classic songs within the great American songbook and songs from the newer neo-swing movement (Big Bad Vodoo Daddy, Brian Setzer, Royal Crown Revue) etc . What you can count on is that all the music presented will have a strong danceable groove along with lots of space for dancing.
