Hailed by The New Yorker for its “exhilarating blend of precision and anarchy, rigor and bedlam,” Sō Percussion performs original works as well as “classics” of the 20th Century by John Cage and Steve Reich. The ensemble has performed at Carnegie Hall and its recordings have hit the Billboard charts. Sō Percussion is the Edward T. Cone Ensemble-in-Residence at Princeton University, and its members are co-directors of the percussion department at the Bard College-Conservatory of Music. The Sō Percussion musicians will host a pre-concert discussion with audience members beginning at 6:30 pm. The performance begins at 8 pm. The annual season-ending "wild card" concert features reduced price general admission of $25 thanks to a grant from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. Young people ages 10 to 18 and one accompanying adult are admitted free with advance reservations made by calling 888-212-6458. Discounted $10 admission is available at the door to students 19 and older and to retired career and active duty military personnel, with valid ID. Venue: Bethel United Methodist Church Hall.
