Lewes Historical Society Antique Show

Nearly 60 high quality dealers participate in the show that features 18th century to early 20th century antiques. All pieces are authentic and represent a wide range of prices. There is something for every taste and every level of collecting sophistication at the show. Dealers who will be at the show represent a wide variety of interests including oriental rugs, Sandwich glass and other glassware, antique musical instruments and phonographs, colonial and Victorian furnishings as well as other fine period pieces, oyster plates and other regional china as well as antiquarian books and antique jewelry. Several dealers specialize in early twentieth century collectibles. The ambiance of the outdoor show, inside the shady grove of mature oaks, magnolias, hollies and cypress and surrounded by nine of the historical society's twelve historic house museums adds to the experience. The beautiful grounds where the show is held have been featured in publications such as Home & Garden, Colonial Living and the television show Good Morning America. Casa Amici will feature a food booth, while Vitelli's Ice Cream and Water Ice will provide refreshing treats. "This antique show is a Lewes institution. Many families plan their vacation time at the beach around this event. Many dealers and visitors comment that they enjoy the traditional feel of the event as well as the ambiance of an outdoor show in such a beautiful setting," Historical Society Executive Director Michael DiPaolo said.
