    Ring in the summer with our Annual Delaware by Hand Members’ Day Outdoor Show at Zwaanendael Park in Lewes, DE. Nearly 50 Delaware By Hand artists will display furniture, wood, metal, glass, ceramics, photography, fiber, sculpture, baskets, prints, jewelry and paintings for sale. Admission to the Delaware By Hand Spring Members’ day show is FREE.

    Help collect fish and crabs with a beach seine net and discover who's using Delaware Bay as a nursery. Dress to get wet and wear secure shoes, NO FLIP FLOPS. For ages 5 and older with a paying adult. No reservations necessary. Tickets available at the Nature Center the day of the program with a maximum of six per person. Limit 30. $5 pp.

    Join us for a walking tour of the town once known as "Head of Broadkill." The tour begins at the Dogfish Head Brewery and last approximately 1 hour.     In partnership with the Milton Chamber of Commerce for 14 years, this festival celebrates horseshoe crabs, shorebirds, and other natural resources while encouraging citizen awareness and participation in wildlife-dependent recreation. Activities occur at the Milton Municipal Park and Prime Hook NWR. Milton Municipal Park will feature music, a tent with exhibits from environmental organizations, food, children’s activities, the Horseshoe Crab Express train ride, scavenger hunts, art show, canoe rentals, boat rides, and games.

    What better place to see the wildlife of the park than from a touring pontoon boat? We will explore the pond in search of animals feeding and drinking, and some just wading around.     Adults and children alike will have an opportunity to experience seafaring lives of adventure, romance, excitement and hardships, and to honor mariners who made the ultimate sacrifice, during the Zwaanendael Museum’s two-day maritime celebration, “A Sailor’s Life for Me,” that will take place at a variety of downtown Lewes, Del. locations on May 27 and 28, 2017. A preliminary schedule of events is included below.

    Construction began on Battery 519 in 1941 under the threat of war. Tour the battery to learn what the threats were and how Fort Miles planned to defend the United States from them. For ages 7 and up with a paying adult. $5 pp.

    Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club is hosting a Family Fun Day at Sugar Beet Market in Heritage Shores. Saturday, May 27th from 12-4pm, families are welcome to drive into Heritage Shores to enjoy the activities & community entertainment. Admission is $10 for a group/family of up to 4 people. Additional indiviudals are $5 each. Admission includes: Face Painting, Bounce House, Kids' Crafts, Kids' Putting Area and Community Group performances.
