    Gather at the Milford Museum at 121 S. Walnut Street. The South Milford Tour will make stops at Henry Hudson's homesite (Library) and proceed to early shipyards owned by William Scribner, James H. Deputy, Carlisle & Revel, Lank & Black, Abbott, and Vinyard. It will continue past the early Milford Ballpark and Fireman's Carnival grounds and around the Causey Mansion to the L.D. Caulk Company's original plant. The walk will conclude with a discussion of Milford's railway depot, lumberyard, and mansions along Causey Avenue.

    Over a light brunch of fruit and waffles, storyteller Steve Childers shares his insight about the fascinating life of Ainsworth Abbott. Mr. Abbott bought what we now call Abbott's Mill in 1919 when he was only 24 years old and operated it by himself for over 40 years. After brunch take a guided tour of his historic old mill and learn what it's link is with Georget Washington and Thomas Jefferson. $10 pp for DNS members, $20 pp for non-members.
