    Construction began on Battery 519 in 1941 under the threat of war. Tour the battery to learn what the threats were and how Fort Miles planned to defend the United States from them. For ages 7 and up with a paying adult. $5 pp.

    Come out on our guided pontoon tour and try to spot some of our furry pond residents. We will discuss beavers, otters, muskrats and other mammals that call Trap Pond home. Space is limited.     One of the most anticipated events of the season, “Picnic in the Park,” returns to Lewes Canalfront Park on Sunday, June 4th. This fun, old-fashioned community event has food, beverages and activities for the entire family. In its fifth year, the event takes place from noon to 3 p.m. in the park, located on the banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal in Historic Lewes.

    Rehoboth Concert Band returns to the Concerts by the Sea series for a concert in All Saints' lovely garden setting with a picnic to follow. Free to the public.
    The Rehoboth Concert Band is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. Venue: All Saints Episcopal Church (Rehoboth Beach). Presenter: Rehoboth Concert Band.
