     Led by volunteer birding guides, beginner and experienced bird watchers will enjoy observing and learning about the bird species frequenting the refuge at this time of year. 

    Come prepared for the weather and expect to walk up to a mile. 

    Bring your binoculars, a field guide, and spotting scope (the leader will have spotting scopes also). Binoculars will be available to borrow.

    Ms. Tassano's love for photography is filled with reflections of things that impacted her own narrative: her love of theater, travel, literature, history, psychology, artisanship, and sense of place. She attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, at New York University.  The Mermaid Project began at the crossroads of happy circumstance, soon after she was gifted with a Victorian-looking water tank and was contacted by a talented aerialist-contortionist friend.
