Howard Eberle celebrates the philosophy of Japanese minimalism in creating watercolors that fall outside of tradition in both style and execution. In this selection of new and award-winning works the artist challenges himself visually to create paintings that are understated, the goal being to refrain from adding that which is not absolutely necessary. In doing so, it is the artist's hope that the viewer experiences a moment of quietude in our otherwise busy lives. A self-taught artist, Howard Eberle has been painting in watercolor since 1973.
